In Safar-e-Patshahi IX Series No. 84, we heard that Guru Teg Bahadur Ji goes to preach in the villages of Rurekikalan, Kailon, Dhilwan, Dulmeki etc.
In this series we will hear that Guru Teg Bahadur Ji preaches in the villages of Farwahi and Sekhan and also breaks the pride of a Chaudhary
Today we have reached village Farwahi. Even in Farwahi Gurdwara Sahib of Teg Bahadur is adorned. When Guru Teg Bahadur ji reached this village, there was a terrible disease of cholera. We know that cholera is spread by drinking contaminated water, which also kills the person. Guru Teg Bahadur ji provided clean water to avoid this. Today, Gurdwara Sahib of Ninth Patshahi Ji is adorned in village Farwahi. You are visiting this Gurdwara Sahib. There is also a sarovar. Guru Sahib Ji fire from Farwahi. They reach Sekhan village. Gurudwara Sahib of Guru Teg Bahadur ji is also adorned in Sekhan. You are also visiting this Gurdwara Sahib. Guru Teg Bahadur ji stayed here for some time. Stopping here, Guru Sahib preached Sikhism. There was also a Chaudhary of 22 villages named Bhai Tirloka ji. He lived in the pride of his Maya. He used to come to Guru Sahib Ji’s Diwan and walk proudly in the Sangat and also show off his Maya. At that time Guru Teg Bahadur Ji addressed him and said-
“Dhan bhum Ka Jo karai guman
So murakh andha agian “
When he heard the words of Gurbani, he was deeply moved. He was also a disciple of a Bairagi Sadhu. He told this to Bairagi Sadhu. Bairagi Sadhu explained to him that Guru Teg Bahadur ji is the light of, Guru Nanak Sahib Ji. There is no need to pretend to go to their shelter. When Chaudhary now came to Guru Sahib Ji, Guru Ji lovingly called him and seated him because Guru Sahib Ji’s nature is so lovely.
“Jo Saran avai tis kanth lavai
Ih birad suami sanda”
It is the nature of our Guru Ji that whoever came to the shelter of Guru Sahib Ji, Guru Sahib Ji took him in his arms. The hug of Guru Sahib alone is so big that the whole world can fit in it. We have to take this Guru’s word to the whole world. The teachings of Guru Granth Sahib Ji are so great that it is ready to embrace the whole world. So, Bhai Tirloka Ji became a disciple of Guru Sahib Ji. He did not become a Sikh himself, he also preached Sikhism and connected 22 nearby villages with Gursikhi. By the time Guru Gobind Singh Ji, this ground level was ready. So, Guru Teg Bahadur Ji was preaching in the villages and calling for this.
“Bhai kahu kau det nah
Nah Bhai manat an “
In this way Guru Sahib Ji was preaching Sikhism. When we read page 83 of the book ‘Iti Jin kari’ by Principal Satbir Singh Ji, we came to know that the family of Chaudhary Jawanda moved on and settled in Balogarh area.. His rule was established in Kasamgarh and Saharanpur and Kasampur areas of UP. Bhai Dharam Singh Ji is one of the five Beloveds in his family. The research topic is still ongoing. We will try to reach out to the Sangat by doing more research. Guru Teg Bahadur ji also set foot in Bhai Mukand’s house in Sekhan village. You are visiting these Gurudwaras in this village Sekhan.
