In Safar-E-Patshahi IX Series No. 75 we heard about which village Guru Teg Bahadur Ji went to first and which village he went to later and how the whole history of Guru Sahib Ji’s biography is reaching the Sangat
In this series we will hear that Guru Teg Bahadur Ji arrives at village Alisher and there are so many trees, shrubs, trees which are related to Guru Sahib Ji
Today we are reaching the village of Alisher. There are 2 Gurdwaras at Alisher. The shrine is being constructed outside the village. There is also a forest bush, which we also call a tree. Let us explain here that the forest department is known by the name of this tree.
It is also mentioned in Guru Granth Sahib Ji in Baramah Tukhari-
“Ban phule manjh bar mai pir ghar bahurai”
This tree bears the fruit of the name Tila. If you look at the medicine of this forest tree, it eliminates the swelling of the stomach. Its toothpaste eliminates gingivitis. There is a Punjabi saying attached to this tree that “Will your forests grow now?” Meaning the tree of the forest never grows upwards, it is always bent downwards. This forest tree is also sung in Punjabi culture. It is also considered as the sweet fruit of Malwa. Guru Sahib was accompanied by horses and camels. If the leaves of this forest are fed to camels, they can be protected from many diseases as it contains sodium bicarbonate, calcium oxide, sodium chloride and many other elements. If its leaves are fed to camels, their digestive power also becomes stronger. Wounds can also be healed if these leaves are tapped. It was important to report it because people started worshiping it because of Manmatt. This tree is taken care of because its medicine is very useful but now it is slowly disappearing from Punjab.
If we talk about the historical sources of Guru Teg Bahadur Ji, then as many trees, shrubs, trees etc. will come, we will continue to highlight the facts related to them. These facts have been mentioned because even children living outside Punjab or outside India can know about these trees. With this tree it is said that Guru Teg Bahadur ji came and sat at this place and tied his horses as there was no shade in the distance. Sitting under its shadow, Guru Teg Bahadur ji goes to the next place. Gurdwara Sahib is being constructed on the site of this forest tree. When Guru Teg Bahadur ji came to this place, Guru Ji was sitting on a high hill before him. We will take you there. Gurdwara Sahib and Karir tree are also present there. You are visiting this career tree. This tree is found in arid areas. It has a very close connection with Sikh history, which we will hear in the next series. Its wood never smells. Its roots cure fever and rheumatism. It has no leaves, only thorns. The fruits are called bananas, which are commonly eaten in Punjab.
So, this career of Guru Teg Bahadur ji is still present in the village of Alisher. This tree is also present in many other shrines. So, wherever Guru Sahib Ji’s feet fell, the remnants of those signs, those trees and shrubs left today, they will continue to associate with you. We will talk about the historical facts that we have kept away from ourselves.
