In Safar-E-Patshahi IX Series No. 62 we heard that Guru Teg Bahadur Ji preaches in village Kamalpur and Dirhba village
In this series we will hear that Guru Teg Bahadur Ji further inspires people to stay away from drugs by visiting the villages of Moonak and Makroor Sahib
In the previous series we had visited Gurdwara Sahib after hearing the history of Gaga village. From Gaga village, Guru Teg Bahadur ji arrives at Gurna village. Guru Teg Bahadur ji also stayed in Gurna village for some time. Here too Gurdwara Sahib is adorned in the memory of Guru Sahib Ji. You can visit this Gurdwara Sahib. From Gurna village Guru Sahib Ji reaches village Lehal Kalan. Here Baba Arak Singh Ji rendered great service to Guru Sahib Ji. Guru Teg Bahadur ji promised Baba Arak Singh to preach Sikhism so that Guru Nanak ji’s teachings could be preached in the village sangat. An organization could be formed for the visiting sangat so that the sangat would have access to Guru Gobind Singh Ji. So here today Gurdwara Sahib is adorned in the memory of Baba Arak Singh Ji. A huge Gurdwara Sahib is being built in the village by the Kar sewa people and the sangat make their life successful by visiting here. It is also a preaching center, where preaching takes place in nearby villages.Lots of Sikh sangat is associated here and takes benefit by serving.
From here Guru Teg Bahadur ji reaches the village of Munak. Gurdwara Akalgarh Sahib is also adorned in Moonak. You can also read the history of how Gurdwara Sahib was built by stopping the video on the board, because we have a lot of history to put before you in a short time. We have now reached Haryana. This is Gurdwara Sahib in Haryana. We are moving from Punjab to Haryana. Here Guru Teg Bahadur ji reaches the village of Makroor. Here at Gurdwara Makroor Sahib, Guru Teg Bahadur ji comes under a tree and makes his abode. Arrangements are made by the sangat to set up tents. We heard the history of village Gaga in series no.62. You can hear in Series No. 62 that when Guru Teg Bahadur Ji reaches village Gaga, the people of Gaga village made a mistake and they follow Guru Sahib to village Makroor to make amends. The sangat of Gaga village bring offerings for Guru Sahib Ji in which the best blankets of that time are presented to Guru Sahib Ji. The farm owners who had spoken ill of the Sikhs, came to Guru Sahib and forgave him. Guru Teg Bahadur ji belovingly explained to them:
“Bhulan andar Sabh ko abhul guru karatar”
Meaning mistakes keep happening. You go to Gaga village and practice Naam Bani and connect as much sangat as possible with Naam Bani. While Guru Ji was preaching at Makroor Sahib, there was a Gujjar of Makroor village who had a lot of buffaloes. When he found out about Guru Teg Bahadur ji, he took the milk of his cows and buffaloes. He presented at the feet of Guru Ji and said to Guru Sahib, “Guru ji, please suck the milk from my hand.” Guru Teg Bahadur ji refused to drink that milk. The Guitar folded his hands and asked that was there something wrong with the milk which you are not accepting. Guru Teg Bahadur ji explained it to him through the words of Gurbani –
“Chor ki Hama bhare na koi,
Chor Kia changa kio hoe”
Meaning it is not a good thing to offer things in the Guru’s house by violating the rights of others. After hearing such words, the Gujjar repented and said that he had stolen people’s cows and kept them in his house.
From now on, I will never steal. At that time Guru Teg Bahadur ji kindly sucked the milk from his hand. If we look at ourselves by killing the rights of the people and by cheating the people, if we think that Guru Sahib will be happy then we should understand that a thief is a thief no matter how small or big. Guru Sahib is pleased with our offerings but Guru Sahib is not hungry for offerings but for love, affection and faith. They love those who practice religion. While preaching Makroor Sahib here, a person named Gurditta appears before Guru Sahib. Guru Tegh Bahadur ji refuses to meet him. The Sikh found out why Guru Sahib refused. The Sikhs who came to the Guru said that Guru Sahib did not associate with the tobacco user. He begged at the feet of Guru Sahib Ji that I would not use tobacco from today. Guru Teg Bahadur Ji brought revolution in us and he went to many villages and gave up tobacco. In the Sikh world, Guru Gobind Singh ji ruled that Sikhs could not use any kind of tobacco. If he becomes a Sikh and uses tobacco, he does not deserve to be called a Sikh. Guru Sahib does not consider him acceptable in Sikhism. You are visiting this Gurdwara Makroor Sahib. Some distance from here comes the village of Mahan Singh. In this village also 2 Gurdwaras are situated in the memory of Guru Teg Bahadur Ji. There is also an old sarovar. According to the Granthi Singhs of Gurdwara Sahib, there is also a Jand tree which is said to be from the time of Guru Sahib. Dhamdhan Sahib is about 6 km from Mahan Singh Wala. From here onwards Guru Teg Bahadur Ji reaches village Dhamdhan, we will hear this in series no.64.
