In Safar-E-Patshahi IX Series No. 60 we had heard that Guru Teg Bahadur Ji reached villages like Toda, Phaguwala and Gharachon while preaching from village Aloarkh
In this series we will hear that Guru Teg Bahadur Ji arrives from home and leads Bhai Desa Ji towards Sikh preaching
In the previous series we mentioned those pages of history when Guru Teg Bahadur Ji arrives at village Kakra and there Diwan Todar Mall is present in the service of Guru Sahib Ji. Diwan Todar Mall also cremated the young princes with its own hands. On the other hand, there is a request at the feet of the Sangat that when we talk about the life of Guru Gobind Singh Ji after the life of Guru Teg Bahadur Ji and his travels, just as this Diwan Todar Mall cremates the younger sahibzadey, so too. There are Sikhs who have been associated with Guru Teg Bahadur ji since the time of Guru Gobind Singh ji. At the time when Guru Teg Bahadur ji was residing in the village of Phaguwal, some sangat from the village Gharacho came and begged Guru Sahib that we are very compelled,Please listen to one of our requests. At that time Guru Teg Bahadur ji, at the request of those Sikhs, reached the village of Gharacho. There Bhai Desu Ji did a lot of service to Guru Sahib Ji. Prepared the residence of Guru Sahib. Bhai Desu ji, along with the Sikhs, arranged for the stay of Guru Teg Bahadur ji and the sangat. All the sangat camped at that place. Kirtan was performed by Bhai Nathu Rababi in the evening. The sangat began to unite. At that time Bhai Desu Ji along with the rest of the Sangat requested Guru Ji, we are the Sikhs of the time when Guru Nanak Dev Ji came to this area. Gurdwara Sahib is also adorned at village Dhakoi Sahib. On the other hand, Gurdwara Sahib is also decorated in the village of Kakle in memory of Guru Nanak Sahib and Guru Hargobind Sahib ji.
Bhai Desu Ji requested that from Guru Sahib, Guru Nanak Dev Ji to the sixth Guru Sahib and from the sixth Guru Sahib Ji till now we are firm adherents in Sikhism. By kirtan we unite the Guru’s sangat. Some arbitrary people here, worshipers of the Sultan and adherents of graves prevent us from preaching and chanting. We are very sad about this. Guru Teg Bahadur ji asked him to come near and laid his hands on his head and said:
“Bhai kahu ko det neh
Neh Bhai manat aan”
Meaning don’t be afraid and don’t be afraid. Unless you have an organization or a unity, you cannot be settled.
At this time Guru Teg Bahadur ji laid the Nishan Sahib fort in this village with his own hands. It was the first village in the Malwa region where Guru Sahib asked the sangat to gather under the Nishan Sahib. If someone is harassing you or stopping you from doing kirtan, then it is necessary to use the kirpan of Miri along with Piri, only then the mouths of these people will be closed. The Guru sahib was forming a very large organization. This is what these Sikhs did. Bhai Desu Ji preached so much Sikhism in the area that he conveyed the words of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji to the sangat in the nearby villages and today Gurdwara Desiana Sahib is situated on the same site. You are visiting this Gurdwara Sahib. Guru Teg Bahadur ji was organizing the sangat in the Malwa in this way. After this Guru Teg Bahadur ji along with his family and sangat reaches the next village ‘Nagre’. There also 2 Gurdwaras are adorned. After Nagre, the next village is Tal Ghanor. How did it get the name Tal Ghanor? The name of this village is Ghanor but the village was attacked by outside enemies. Due to this the villagers had set up a tal (bell) outside the village by mutual consent. If any enemy came, he would knock on the tal, the villagers would be aware of this. This is why the village is known as Tal Ghanor. Here too Gurdwara Sahib is adorned today. There is also a tree inside Gurdwara Sahib. Three Gurus visited this place . Guru Nanak Sahib and Guru Hargobind Sahib planted Sikhism here and Guru Tegh Bahadur ji asked the Sikhs to gather here. They say to connect with Bani so that Sikhs can get the right to freedom in future. Guru Teg Bahadur Ji goes to which village next and what is the history of that village, we will hear this in series no.62
