In this series we will hear that Guru Teg Bahadur Ji arrives at village Ugani and meets his adopted son
Guru Teg Bahadur ji, from the village of Bhagrani, connects the sangat with Naam Bani, ie, planting a Sikh plant, and comes to Ugani village. This Ugani is a village right next to Rajpura. It is also written Ugana Sahib in many places. Gurdwara Sahib is also adorned here today. Guru Teg Bahadur ji placed his feet on this place. According to village tradition, Guru Gobind Singh ji also came here. There is another link with this Gurdwara Sahib, which had been hidden from the eyes of history, it was Baba Jorawar Singh Ji, the adopted son of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
Guru Gobind Singh Ji had 4 sons – Baba Ajit Singh Ji, Baba Jujhar Singh Ji, Baba Jorawar Singh Ji, Baba Fateh Singh Ji. Zorawar Singh Ji and Fateh Singh Ji are younger sons but we call this Zorawar Singh an adopted son. He was the son of a family from the village of Bassi Pathana, who lived with Guru Gobind Singh ji. The boy had won a fight with Guru Gobind Singh ji’s son Zorawar Singh at Anandpur Sahib. Some Sikhs objected as to who he was to equal Guru Gobind Singh’s son. Guru Gobind Singh ji summoned him. His mother told Guru Sahib to punish him in such a way that he could never equal your sons.
Guru Gobind Singh Ji took him in his arms and said that Sangat Ji, just as he is my Zorawar Singh, so he is my Zorawar Singh. Today I have not one Zorawar Singh but two Zorawar Singhs. From that day till now he is known as his adopted son Zorawar Singh. When Anandpur Sahib was abandoned in 1704 AD, he was still with him. Baba Ajit Singh Ji, Bhai Bachittar Singh Ji and his adopted son Baba Jorawar Singh Ji were in this battle. It was 22 injuries on the body of Baba Jorawar Singh ji. It is taken by Baba Ajit Singh Ji to the house of Kotla Nihang Ji at Ropar. There was a family of carpenters of Bhai Gursa Singh and Bhai Bagga Singh. It is kept in their home.
Guru Gobind Singh Ji goes to the fort of Chamkaur. Bachittar Singh Ji and his adopted son Baba Jorawar Singh Ji stay here. Bachittar Singh Ji was martyred in the house of Kotla Nihang because he couldn’t bear the pain of his injuries. On the other hand, the family, while rescuing the adopted son Zorawar Singh ji from the enemy, leaves his aunt, who lived in village Dadheri, at his house. Gurdwara Sahib still exists there today. From there he recovers and reaches the village of Ugani. Bhajan Das Sadhu lived here at that time, who treats this Guru’s adopted son. After that the same adopted son goes to Khizrabad. Gurdwara Sahib stands there in his memory. When he finds out that Guru Gobind Singh Ji has gone to Damdama Sahib, he also goes to Damdama Sahib. It is learned that Guru Gobind Singh Ji has gone to Delhi from Damdama Sahib then he goes to Delhi. From Delhi to Agra. From Agra one goes to village Idmadpur. There he coincides with Guru Gobind Singh ji. There he begins to live with Guru Gobind Singh ji.
From Idmadpur, Guru Gobind Singh ji passes through Pushkar and Bhilwara and reaches Chittorgarh on the banks of the Gambhiri river. Guru Sahib’s abode there. Bahadur Shah is also with Guru ji. There, when the adopted son goes to see the fort of Chittorgarh with some of his companions, he encounters the Mughals. While fighting, he was martyred right in front of the fort of Chittorgarh. It is here that the Sikh of Guru Gobind Singh ji, on whose head the Guru ji once adorned a farla, said that from now on the Nishan Sahib would never fall and would hang on the heads of the Sikhs. Bhai Maan Singh, who walks with Guru Sahib from the fort of Chamkaur. The same Bhai Maan Singh, who is a close disciple of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
Along with 20 Sikhs, Guru Gobind Singh ji’s adopted son and Bhai Maan Singh ji were martyred at this place. sangat of Chittorgarh celebrate the martyrdom day of Baba Jorawar Singh Ji and Bhai Maan Singh Ji every year. The place has been found. So, with Guru Kirpa, there will be a place here soon. This place is in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan.
So, Sangat Ji, we have to add some links as history goes on. Meaning when we talk about shrines and gurdwaras, where Guru Teg Bahadur Ji visited , what are the links with him. So, Guru Teg Bahadur Ji walks from Bhagrana to Ugani village. Starting from Ugani, Guru Teg Bahadur ji walks towards Bahadurgarh. Nawab Saifuddin of Bahadurgarh was hurrying at the feet of Guru Gobind Singh ji. When Nawab Saifuddin finds out that Guru Teg Bahadur ji has come to our area, he comes to meet Guru Sahib with full devotion. Guru Teg Bahadur ji stayed with Nawab Saifuddin for four months and spent four months preaching in nearby villages. Nawab Saifuddin had a very close relationship with Guru Teg Bahadur ji.
