In Safar-E-Patshahi IX Series No. 44 we heard that Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji walks from Nandpur Kalorh to the village of Railon and connects the Sangat with Naam Bani
In this series we will hear that Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji reached village Mukaronpur and there 2 wanderers connect Guru ka sons with Sikhs
Guru Teg Bahadur ji leaves the village rally with his family and sangat and reaches the next village, Mukaronpur. Arriving at Mukaronpur, a camp is set up by Guru ji on the bank of a pond outside the village. This is where the village sangat begins to arrive. Here a lady of the village arranged prasada for Guru Teg Bahadur Ji and Roop Chand Ji came at the feet of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and received the gift of Sikhism. Bhai Roop Chand Ji himself received the gift of Sikhism and also preached in the nearby villages. Guru Teg Bahadur ji was visiting villages and handing over responsibilities to the Sikhs. Just as Guru Nanak Dev Ji had established sangat, Guru Teg Bahadur Ji was also establishing sangat in villages. By staying there, on the one hand, the Guru was imparting the gift of Sikhism to the wandering people, on the other hand, the chief of those Sikhs would set up a dharamshala by appointing the Sikhs and then Guru Sahib would go to the next village.
After this Guru Teg Bahadur ji reaches the next village Bhagrana. On reaching Bhagrana, camps are set up by Guru ji. Accommodation is arranged by setting up a few canopies from the camp. Guru Sahib was accompanied by chief Sikhs, many sangat, Guru Sahib’s family and horses. It was not that Guru Sahib Ji would go and sit alone, with full thought Guru Sahib Ji had prepared the whole way to instill the spirit of Sikhism in the Sikhs and to reinforce the teachings of Guru Nanak Sahib Ji.
There were 2 Sikhs of the same village, Bhai Bahru Ji and Bhai Dayala Ji. He received the gift of Sikhism from Guru Sahib Ji and also preached in nearby villages. Guru Sahib had also installed a well here as there was no water supply. Even today the Sarovar Sahib stands on the site of this well. In the middle of the Sarovar Sahib there is a well dug by Guru Sahib for 400 years.
Another fact is that Guru Teg Bahadur ji went to these villages and preached. Many times we will think that Bhai Sahib Ji keeps talking about villages, ie what is the use of talking about the same thing. Sorry, if we had visited the elders of these villages 200 years ago, we would know how many Sikhs had received the gift of Sikhism and made sacrifices for Guru Sahib. It is also mentioned that when Guru Teg Bahadur Ji went to Delhi to give martyrdom, Guru Ji had passed through this village for the second time but in the family of Bhai Dayala Ji that gift of Sikhism had come. Bhai Dayala ji went to distant villages and preached Sikhism. Bhai Dayala Ji had 2 sons – Bhai Madan Ji and Bhai Kotha Ji. When Bhai Madan Ji and Bhai Kotha Ji are young, they go to Anandpur Sahib after the martyrdom of Guru Teg Bahadur Ji. Bhai Madan Singh and Bhai Kotha Singh ji , Singhs are ordained in 1699 after being baptized. He was such a warrior that when the battle of Chamkaur took place, he became the ‘son of the wandering Guru’ at the entrance of the fort of Chamkaur and did not allow any Mughal or Baidhar king’s army to enter the fort of Chamkaur. Eventually they were martyred in front of the gates of the fort of Chamkaur. Even today there is a shrine in Bhagrana in the memory of Bhai Madan Singh and Bhai Kotha Singh. They also have a place in the village. His memorial also stands in the fort of Chamkaur.
Guru Teg Bahadur ji went from village to village to strengthen Sikhism among the Sikhs and later along with Guru Gobind Singh ji these Sikhs did great deeds for the upliftment of the Panth.
We will hear in the next series that Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji reached Bahadurgarh via Ugani village. Where spends the four months (four months period). Here’s how they preach in nearby villages. Who took Guru Teg Bahadur ji inside his fort?
