On 19 June 1665, Guru Tegh Bahadur ji with his entire family reached the high mound of the village of Sahota in Makhoval. It was here that kirtan was performed by Guru Sahib at the time of Amrit. The deg of karah prasad is prepared. Rani Champa’s family and the sangat nearby starts coming. It is written in Bhatt vahiyan…

” Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji Mahal Ninth Bassi Kiratpur

Saal straih Kai baais asaarh ikkis somvar ke dehon

Makhoval gram ke theh te Baba gurditta ji randhawa

Bans Baba Buddha Ji K Dsat Mubarak Se Nave Gram Ki Morhi Gaddi Nao Chakk Nanaki Rakha Guru Ki Kardhai Ki”

The respect of Baba Buddha Ji, from Guru Nanak Dev Ji till now was as high that only his family has been getting honor in Guru Ghar. Guru Sahib continued to bless this family everywhere but never revealed himself. Bhai Gurditta ji drives on the high mound of village Sahota and  named it ‘Chakk Nanaki ‘. Whenever you visit Anandpur Sahib, there is Gurdwara Bhora Sahib, where Guru Tegh Bahadur ji used to reside. So, we will mention the rest of these places in the next series according to history. Gurdwra Bhora  Sahib still exists at Anandpur Sahib, the place where Guru Tegh Bahadur ji took his residence after the establishment of Chakk Nanaki Nagar. So,  Ardas is performed by Diwan Dargah Mall Ji. After the Ardas, Tihaval (Karah Prasad) is distributed among all the sangat

and the town is named ‘Chakk Nanaki’. So, just as Guru Arjan Dev ji had mapped out the Darbar Sahib, Guru Teg Bahadur ji had also visited those towns. Guru Teg Bahadur ji was well aware of the cities inhabited by the Gurus. Guru Sahib was also very expert in this field and Guru Sahib himself had prepared a map of the entire Anandpur Sahib (Chakk Nanaki) where bazaars, mandis and dharamsalas would be built, where trade centers, houses and people’s residences would be built. Another big thing is that no one’s house has been built in a different direction according to castism. Because Guru sahib opposed castism.Guru Sahib sent Hukamnamas through masands to spread the news to distant lands that Guru Sahib was building a new city. Anyone who wants to come and live in a new town can come and live. Sangat from far and wide started arriving at Chakk Nanaki with their belongings.

Artisans were called. Guru Teg Bahadur ji arranged the langar for 24 hours. Gradually the town began to settle. The shops opened. The artisans came. Now a Peer Musa Ropari from Ropar passes by here. He asks who is carrying out the construction, ie who is inhabiting the town, then the Sikhs say that Guru Tegh Bahadur ji is sitting on the throne of the Guru Nanak Dev ji as a ninth guru. Guru ji is an idol of Bairag. Guru ji is inhabiting this city. So, this Peer showed how it is possible for a Bairagi man to build such a big palace. It cannot be that this Guru is Bairagi. Where Guru Sahib was sitting, Musa Ropari came and talked to Guru Sahib. We will hear in Series No. 39 what is the conversation between Guru Teg Bahadur Ji and Peer.
