Guru Tegh Bahadur ji walks from Khemkaran to the village of Chohle, where he stops at Bhai Hira Badhi’s house. If we read Principal Satbir Singh Ji, he writes that Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji then reached Kiratpur Sahib through Lakhi Jungle Damdama Sahib. Some scholars are of the opinion that Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji went straight to Kiratpur Sahib. There are some places where Guru Tegh Bahadur ji’s feet were placed. So, while visiting the area, it was discovered that Guru Tegh Bahadur  ji wanted to establish Guru ka Chakk (Anandpur Sahib) near Banga. So, one cannot go directly to Kiratpur Sahib from Chohala. Let’s visit the places that come along the way. What is their history and what do their facts say? So, Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji walks from Chohala to a place about 80 km near Jalandhar. The Guru was accompanied by Bhai Makhan Shah Lubana, Bhai Gurditta ji, other Guru’s beloved Sikhs and Guru Sahib’s family. Wherever Guru Sahib was to stay, the Sikhs had already arrived and preferred the place and pitched tents there. The entire accommodation of the Sikhs was arranged for Guru Sahib. When the Guru reached this place, a tent was pitched here. The abode of Guru Sahib was built. The Guru was sitting on a platform here.

A Sikh Bhai Ranji is found here. Together with Guru Sahib’s Sikhs they also engage in seva. Guru Ji asks Bhai Ranji why the area is not inhabited from far and wide despite being so beautiful and green. Bhai Ranji joins hands and requests Guru Sahib Ji that Guru Sahib area is very good but whoever comes to settle here, after settling down for some time, gets deserted. I don’t know what is the reason. The Guru promised Bhai Ranji that Bhai Ranji, your life goes on. As well as working, chant the Naam and share and taste. These are the principles of Guru Nanak’s house. If you yourself follow the principles of Guru Nanak Sahib Ji – chant the name, distribute and eat, serve the one who has come, then whoever comes and settles here, he will not perish. Don’t think that this area is uninhabited. This area will one day number in the thousands. Guru Tegh Bahadur  ji moves on from here and Bhai Ranji makes his life successful by following the principles of Guru Nanak sahib ji. Guru Tegh Bahadur  ji made him his Sikh by giving him Charan Pahul and he preached Sikhism in the area. Later, when the amrit of khanda bata was administered in 1699 AD, it was Bhai Ranji who baptized the khanda bata at Anandpur Sahib and became Ran Singh ji from Bhai Ranji. Today the town is known as the village of Hazara. Today thousands of people live here with the words of Guru Sahib. So, Gurdwara Tharha Sahib Patshahi IX remains at this place. That platform still exists in the Guru Darbar today. These old brick signs bear witness to the abode of Bhai Ranji. So, wherever Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji goes after this, we will hear in Series No. 33.
