In Safar-E-Patshahi Ninth Series No. 23 we heard that Dhirmal was against Guru Ghar and he also shot Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji
In this series, we will talk about the manifestation of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji as the real Guru and the devotion of a Sikh towards Guru Ghar
On August 11, 1664, when Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji was anointed at Baba Bakale, nine months later, on October 9, 1664, Bhai Makhan Shah Lubana called out:
“Guru Ladho Re,
Guru Ladho Re “
From October 9 to November 22, for 43 days, Guru Tegh Bahadur ji was fleeing to the land of Bakala. They were guiding the sangat to the path of God. Guru Tegh Bahadur ji wished to visit such shrines where arbitrariness was being practiced by the masands. The masands were calling themselves Gurus. The sangats were being misled. Guru Tegh Bahadur ji’s family, Makhan Shah Lubana’s entire family, other sangats and horses were prepared. Guru Sahib prepared his horse. Chariots were prepared. So, on 22 November 1664, Guru Ji left Baba Bakale and proceeded to Amritsar. We had just walked 8 kilometers, saw that a child was guarding his fields. Instead of blowing up the birds, he kept them in pots and pans with grains and water. The Sikh community was astonished to see this. Guru Tegh Bahadur ji called him and asked, “Bhai, what’s the matter?” All your crops are to be eaten by these birds and you are feeding them grains and also watering them. The boy greeted Guru Sahib and folded his hands and said, “Guru ji, I have been in the company of Gurmukhs since my childhood. I have heard this verse from a Gurmukh in my childhood.
” ‘Sabhana Jia Ka Ek Daata,
So Mein Visr Na Jai’
‘Dada Daata Ek Hai Sab Kau Devanahar,
Innumerable treasures not to be missed.Meaning Guru Ji, that God is the giver, I am nothing. Guru Ji, if the giver is God then there can be no other destroyer. These are also birds. They also have stomachs. So, Guru Ji this verse of Bani is sitting in my mind.I can’t get rid of it. I give them grain and water myself. That way my crop doesn’t spoil and their stomachs get full and I get peace too. ” Guru Tegh Bahadur ji, seeing his innocence, bestowed such grace on him that he told his family that now that I am for my guru only , I would go with Guru Sahib. His name was Bhai Naru ji. Bhai Naru ji stayed with Guru Tegh Bahadur sahib ji. After the martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur sahib ji, Bhai Naru Ji became Bhai Nahar Singh Ji on the Baisakhi of 1699 AD.
When Guru Ji left Anandpur Sahib in 1704 AD, Nahar Singh was still with Guru Sahib. Protecting the Guru’s family, he is wounded. It seems that when many Sikhs were separated due to the separation on the river Sarsa, he is also became separated from there. When he recovered and found out that Guru Sahib was at Damdama Sahib, he too visited Guru Gobind Singh ji at Damdama Sahib. Later he also comes to its hometown. Today, in the memory of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji, Bhai Nahar Singh’s village Gurdwara Chola sahib is situated. There is also a robe of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and a hukamnama of Guru Gobind Singh Ji where Guru Gobind Singh Ji himself has signed with an arrow. There is also a painting of Guru Gobind Singh ji made by Bhai Naru Ji with his own hands .Next in Series No. 25 we will hear why when Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji reaches Amritsar he is not allowed inside. Why are the locks put on?
