Akali Phula Singh Nihang: An Immortal Warrior of Sikh History
Akali Phula Singh Nihang was born on January 1, 1761, in the village of Sinha, Sangrur district, Punjab, to Ishar Singh. Unfortunately, his father passed away during his childhood, and he was then raised by Baba Narayan Singh Ji (also known as Naina Singh Ji). Baba Ji trained him in both martial and scholarly arts and dedicated him to the service of the Guru Panth Khalsa.
Akali Phula Singh was a Nihang Sikh leader who gained renown in the early 19th century as a warrior of the Khalsa Shaheedan Misl and the chief of the Budha Dal. Not only was he a brave commander, but he also played a crucial role as the commander of the Sikh Khalsa Army and a key advisor to Maharaja Ranjit Singh.
