About 120 km from Agra on the way to Patna Sahib comes the town of Etawah. Etawah town falls in UP. Guru Sahib arrives in Etawah. It was evening when Das’s team reached Etawah. Guru Teg Bahadur ji’s Gurdwara Sahib is situated on Farukabad Road. You are visiting this Gurdwara Sahib. We also had the opportunity to spend the night at this place. The next day we read the history and found out that there is another shrine of Guru Teg Bahadur ji here,  which is known as Purbi Tola. Some distance from Gurdwara Sahib, this place is built on the top of the river. We arrived at this place. Gurdwara Bari Sangat Purbi Tola Sahib is located inside the main gate passing through the bazaar. Ancient langar is also built at this place. The old Gurdwara Sahib also exists but the Guru Granth Sahib ji is no longer seated here. Today, Udasi sadhus live here. There is an idol of Guru Nanak Sahib at this place and they worship that idol morning and evening. There is also a statue of the local committee mahant. On reading history, it is learned that the mahant whose idol is standing here used to preach the Bani of Guru Granth Sahib Ji. He used to recite the Bani of Guru Granth Sahib Ji himself and also preach in the Sangat but nowadays instead of preaching the Bani the idol is worshiped here. Gurdwara Sahib used to be at this place. Today this place is with the Udasi Sadhus. Etawah also has two monuments to Guru Teg Bahadur ji. Kanpur is about 150 km from Etawah. Das’s team arrives in Kanpur. In Kanpur, there are also two shrines of Guru Teg Bahadur ji. A place in the city is known as Chowk Guru Teg Bahadur Ji. Day and night, from morning till evening, almost all the sangat of Kanpur come here with great love and devotion, recite Bani and offer prayers with great devotion and reverence towards Guru Teg Bahadur Ji. The second place is right on the banks of the river Ganga. The source of water at that time was wells, rivers or ponds. Guru Teg Bahadur  ji bathed in the river Ganga and preached to the sangat there and removed superstitions and delusions by associating them with Naam Bani. Gurdwara Sahib is adorned here on the banks of the river Ganga. You can visit this place. What is the history of the place where Guru Teg Bahadur Ji goes from Kanpur onwards, we will hear in Series No. 97.
