In Safar-E-Patshahi IX Series No. 94 we heard that Guru Teg Bahadur Ji reached Mathura from Sonipat which later came to Gurdwara Sahib Udasi Samparda and Sikhs were persecuted here in 1984.
In this series we will hear that Guru Teg Bahadur Ji arrives at Agra and pays a visit to Mai Jassi where Gurdwara Sahib is still adorned in his memory
Guru Teg Bahadur ji via Mathura arrives in Agra with his entire family. At Agra, there was Mai Jassi, who had a 20 cubit long Khadr piece and prayed that when Guru Sahib would come and I would give him my hand made piece. Guru Teg Bahadur ji arrives with Mai Jassi with his entire family. The history there says that in the old days Mai Jassi, who was a devotee of Lord Kishan from the age of 18-20. Guru Nanak Sahib also visited Mata Ji at Mai Jassi’s house at this place & began to preach Gursikhi. When Guru Teg Bahadur Ji appeared on the land of Baba Bakale with the episode of Makhan Shah Lubana, Mata Jassi, at the age of 60-62, with a feeling in her mind, made a piece of clothing with her old grandchildren in her mind. The feeling was that when Guru Teg Bahadur Ji would visit me, I would present this piece of cloth to Guru Ji. She used to pray both times that this thing is yours and I will give it to you but I will give it only when you come on your own. Guru Teg Bahadur ji started his first journey visiting the sangat, the Sikhs reached the land of Agra. Mata Jassi was visited by Guru Sahib. Mata Ji presented the piece of cloth to Guru Sahib Ji. Guru Sahib stayed at this place for a long time. The water of Agra was salty and the water of this place was more salty. Mata Jassi Ji along with the Sangat requested at the feet of Guru Sahib Ji that you please bless us with the gift of sweet water. Guru Teg Bahadur ji dug the well with his own hands.
Guru Sahib himself went to the next stage. Mother started the service. The well was ready and fresh water came out of it. All the sangat drank water but Mata ji did not. There was a feeling in them that first Guru Teg Bahadur Ji would drink water and then I would drink. Eleven years later, when Guru Teg Bahadur ji came to Agra to make an arrest, he also came to this place. The mother watered the Guru. Seet Prasad himself tasted. He expressed to Guru Sahib the feeling that I have no son or daughter so how can my name be known in this world. Guru Teg Bahadur ji said that you have taken the Sikhi form from Guru Nanak Sahib. As long as the name of Guru Nanak Sahib Ji remains in this world, people will also mention you with emotion. For about 20-22 years, the house of Mata ji has been decorated as Gurdwara Mai Than by the managing committee, Bhai Kamaldeep Singh ji and his associates. It is in the narrow streets. The well of Mata ji’s time is still adorned at this place. There is a request at the feet of the Sangat that whenever you come to Agra, Be sure to visit guru Teg Bahadur ji Gurdwara Mai Than, a historical place. There is also another Gurdwara of Guru Teg Bahadur ji in Agra, known as Guru ka Tal Agra. We will talk about its history on the path of martyrdom. So, there are 4 other Guru Sahib Ji’s feet in Agra too. Guru Nanak Sahib also visited the place of Mai Jassi and Gurdwara Damdama Sahib is decorated here in the name of Guru Hargobind ji. Gurdwara Hathi Ghat is named after Guru Gobind Singh ji. Guru Teg Bahadur Ji Came to Mai Jassi 2 times. When Guru Teg Bahadur ji is arrested for the second time from Agra, they also comes to Guru ka Tal Agra. The History of Guru ka Tal Agra We will hear further on the Shaheed Marg how Guru Teg Bahadur ji was arrested and taken to Delhi. Whenever you visit Mai Jassi’s shrine in Agra, there are Saroops of 300 year old Guru Granth Sahib Ji, including a stone imprinted Bir. The smallest form 1‘1 ” is also present in Gurdwara Sahib. There is also a Bir of Guru Granth Sahib Ji with a gold limb and a Saroop written in Urdu. A handwritten Bir of Dasam Granth is also adorned in this Gurdwara Mai Than. You are watching it.
