Roads from Sonipat to Delhi, Guru Teg Bahadur ji, along with his entire family and the Sikh community, reached Mathura. When we reach the city of Mathura, you will see Gurdwara Sahib along with the Holy Gate. Guru Teg Bahadur ji and the accompanying Sikhs camped at this place. There was a shortage of water but the river Ganga flowed. Where Guru Teg Bahadur ji used to go for bathing at Bisram Ghat, he also connected the sangat with Naam Bani. After preaching for 3 days at Mathura, Guru Sahib proceeded. Later this place Had remained with the Udasi sect. Another thing we found out here is that there is a small Gurdwara Sahib right next to the mound. You are visiting this hill. Before 1984, the Guru Granth Sahib ji was seated here, but after the departure of the Sikhs, the shrine is still with the Udasis. Even today the Guru Granth Sahib ji is not seated here. Guru Teg Bahadur ji’s Gurdwara near the Holy Gate came to the Udasis to take care of the local sangat. Later in 1977 at this place ,a museum was also built. At the same time a school up to VIII was also opened which continued continuously. At the same time, let me add another thing to your name that when the genocide of Sikhs took place in 1984, its effect reached Mathura where Sikhs were martyred in various Gurdwaras. Even Guru Granth Sahib Ji’s Tabia seated Singh was burnt with oil and the form of Guru Ganth Sahib Ji was also burnt. This Gurdwara Sahib was also set on fire. This whole tragedy happened to Gurdwara Guru Teg Bahadur ji .The managing committee of the party explained how the Sikhs were martyred here. Today this Gurdwara Sahib exists in the same condition. At the suggestion of the managing committee, we came to know that this Gurdwara Sahib, a dilapidated building after 1984, needs to be further improved. You are visiting this Gurdwara Guru Teg Bahadur Ji which is located inside the Holy Gate. There are 2 shrines of Guru Nanak Sahib ji at Mathura. A Gurdwara Tilla Sahib where a high mound was present. The second Guru Nanak Sahib ji’s garden is Gurdwara Bagichi Sahib Exists. Guru Nanak Sahib had planted a garden here. This Gurdwara Sahib is also present in the city of Mathura.
