According to Dr. Ganda Singh, Guru Teg Bahadur ji traveled from Bani Badanpur with his entire family to Sonipat via Panipat. At Sonipat lived a raider named Misra, who also traded in horses. When Guru Teg Bahadur ji reached there, he not only became a good man by associating with Guru Sahib Ji, but he also taught others how to live a good life and established a Dharamshala in the name of Guru Nanak Sahib. Later, sangat started coming and going in that Dharamshala. Simran of Naam Bani continued.Gradually Bhai Misran’s house was converted into the Sangat of Guru Nanak Sahib Ji. When Das’s team reached Sonipat, we were told that there is a huge Gurdwara in Sonipat. You are visiting this Gurdwara Sahib. On inquiring some of the elders here, it was learned that this Gurdwara was built in the memory of Guru Teg Bahadur ji. Where Guru Teg Bahadur ji used to stay, he can be seen in front of the old Gurdwara Sahib Sabzi Mandi inside the streets of Raj Mohalla. When we entered inside Gurdwara Sahib , then there was a well, which, not realizing the need of the time, has been closed and a room has been built on it. There was a well at this place. Which you see in the small room on the right  side, is the seat of Guru Granth Sahib Ji. On the right hand side is a small bunga which used to be the house of Bhai Misra ji. When the house was demolished in 1974, some weapons came out of its wall, including two Sri Sahibs, a shield of rhinoceros skin and four ornaments on the head, which is still kept in the mirror in Gurdwara Sahib with great love and respect. The elders also showed us the doors of the old house. The doors of what used to be the old Gurdwara Sahib still exist today, which are in a dilapidated condition. This Gurdwara Sahib was later rebuilt by the Sikhs who settled there. The sangat comes and joins this place with great devotion and faith. The sangat also believes that whoever comes here and prays with a sincere heart, his prayer is complete. You are visiting this Gurdwara Sahib. There is a beautiful Gurdwara named after Guru Teg Bahadur ji in Raj Mohalla near Sabzi Mandi in Sonipat.
