In this series we will hear that Guru Teg Bahadur Ji reaches the villages of Jahangir, Bawanpur and Rajomajra and also installs wells there to meet the water shortage and keeps the people away from drugs
Today Guru Teg Bahadur Ji in his entirety Arrive at village Jahangir with family and sangat. The village was not yet inhabited at that time. When Guru Sahib reached here, a landlord was digging a well in a nearby field. He was covered in mud. When he heard that the sangat were coming, he ran to Guru Sahib covered in mud. Guru Sahib sat him down and asked him then he said that he was a resident of nearby village Kerru and my name is Ghunna. Due to lack of water in my fields, I dug the soil and dug a well ,so that clean water could come out of the well. Guru Sahib saw his humility and inner spirit. He stayed with Guru Sahib for a few days and was very impressed with Sikhism. The Guru ji appointed him as the preacher there and himself installed a well. Even today there is a well dug by Guru Sahib Ji in the village. Its water is used. The villagers have kept this well as a beautiful park. It is well cleaned. This well water is still used today. There We learned from the elders sitting nearby that the village was not yet inhabited at that time. The name of this village is Jahangir. The village is named after Jahangir, a Muslim fakir, around 1869. This well is located next to the village gate. This Gurdwara Sahib is situated on the outskirts of the village. You can visit this Gurdwara Sahib. There is a Jand tree inside Gurdwara Sahib. You are visiting Gurdwara Sahib of Ninth Patshahi in this village Jahangir. Walking from village Jahangir, next falls to village Bawanpur. The Gurdwara of Guru Teg Bahadur ji is also adorned in the village of Bawanpur. There is also a sarovar which has been serviced by Nawab Iftiar Khan of Malerkotla. This Gurdwara Sahib is adorned in the village of Bawanpur. You are visiting this Gurdwara Sahib. Next comes the village of Rajomajra. It was the village of Ranghars. The Rajputs who converted to Islam were called Ranghars. One of the members of the Ranghar family was Mai Rajo. The village of Rajomajra is named after Mai Rajo. It’s a mess Being a village, hookah was widely used here. When Guru Teg Bahadur ji started landing in this village with his Sikh servants, the people of the village made a request to Guru Sahib. People said that hookah is used a lot in our village, due to which there is only smoke in the distance. That is why we request you to stay away from the village so that you do not have any problem. At that time Guru Teg Bahadur Ji and Sikh devotees came and settled at this place, where now Gurdwara Sahib is made. Guru Sahib forbade the villagers from smoking hookah. Guru Teg Bahadur ji connected the people with Naam Daan and Bani. Today there is a very large juniper tree. What used to be a nearby pond now exists in the form of Sarovar Sahib.
