In this series we will hear that Guru Teg Bahadur Ji reaches the village of Dhalewan and delights a Gursikh by giving his Darshan

Guru Teg Bahadur ji walks from village Bhupal to village Dhalewan, 17 km away. Due to the presence of trees, there was a small forest where Tulsidas, a Sikh from the time of Guru Hargobind ji, lived, who was engaged in Naam Simran. His last wish was that he wanted to see Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji and in his mind it was his wish that when my life ends, that is, when my last time is near, I would give up my life by seeing the light of Guru Nanak Sahib Ji. When the well-known Guru Teg Bahadur ji approaches him, he shouts, “Baba Tulsidas, open your eyes.” When Baba Tulsidas Ji opened his eyes and saw that the second incarnation of Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, was standing in front of him then he was overjoyed . He got up, performed the procession of Guru Teg Bahadur ji, saluted him and gave up his life. Guru Teg Bahadur ji cremated Baba Tulsidas with his own hands. At the same time, addressing the sangat, Guru Teg Bahadur ji recited the words of Gurbani.

“Ik Oankaar Satgur Parsaad

Dhanasari Mahla 5

Kahe re ban khojan jai “

Meaning why do you go to the forests to find God.

“Sarab nivasi sada alepa

 Tohi sang samai.1.rahau.”

Meaning that God dwells everywhere. He is detached. He is always with us.

“Puhp madh jiu bas basat hai

Mukar mah Jaise shai “

That is, as the fragrance resides in the flower, as the shadow resides in the mirror.

“Taise hi har base nirantar

 ghat hi khojah bhai”

Meaning just as the fragrance resides in the flower, the shadow resides in the mirror, so God resides in us. All he needs to do is find and discover.

“Bahar bhitar eko janah

Eh gur gian batai”

Meaning there is no other God dwelling outside and dwelling inside. The God we seek outside is sitting inside.

“Jan Nanak Bin Apa Chinai

mitai n bhram ki kai “

Meaning the illusion of the moss that is frozen inside us, it will not be cured without discovering itself. There is no need to find God in the jungles. He can be found from within. So Guru Tegh Bahadur ji explained to the townspeople –

“Ghar baithe guru dhiaiho”

Meaning even while living in the household life we can meditate on God and chant Naam. We don’t have to go anywhere in the woods. God can be discovered from within. These words were uttered by Guru Tegh Bahadur at the village of Dhalewan. Gurdwara Sahib is adorned here today. You can see it. After this Guru Teg Bahadur ji goes 8 km further. What is that village, what is that place where Guru Teg Bahadur Ji leads the sangat. This we will hear in Series No. 79.
