In Safar-E-Patshahi IX Series No. 57 we had heard that Guru Teg Bahadur Ji is preaching in Rohta village from village Agol
In this series we will hear that Guru Teg Bahadur Ji goes and sits in the village of Thuhi beyond Rohta
From Rohta, Guru Tegh Bahadur ji walks about 8 km to reach the village of Thuhi. If we look in books and old sources then we find mention of Guru Sahib Ji’s coming in them but we do not find history. When we met the village elder, we found out that Guru Teg Bahadur ji had come here. Baba Sarup Singh Ji from here imparted a lot of education. They used to greet this place before going anywhere. They used to say that there is a lot of power in this earth. Guru Sahib Ji came here and spoke to the sangat. This place was previously uninhabited. He was the one who asked the sangat to build Gurdwara Sahib here. After this Guru Teg Bahadur ji travels through the villages and goes on the next preaching tour to Punjab because Guru Teg Bahadur ji made the most number of journeys after Guru Nanak Sahib ji.
We need to go to those villages and find history. We will continue to meet the elders and make you visit those places, Bhai Sahib, to see what was here before and what is there now. When in the future If we watch the videos of this history then we will have the sources and evidence of this history so that the next generation can know about their heritage and history. With this in mind we are bringing to you the history of Safar-e-Patshahi IX. The village of Thuhi is followed by the village of Ramgera Boda. Here too Gurdwara Sahib is adorned in the memory of Guru Teg Bahadur ji. Sangat have been gathering at this place in memory of Guru Sahib Ji. The wife of Raja Bharpur Singh of Nabha came to the Sangat and prayed that Guru Sahib please fill my bag.
“Teg Bahadur Simriai Ghar Nau Nidhi Aave Dhai”
Raja Bharpur Singh’s wife received the gift of a son. So, considering the need for water at this place, a water bowl was installed, which is still under the ground today. You can visit this place. There is a very deep water baoli, which was built in 1926. This Baoli of about 94-95 years ago still exists today. You are visiting Gurdwara Sahib Patshahi IX of this Ramgarh Boda village. After this the Guru Ji goes to the village of Gunike. There was a curry tree. The elders have also visited it but that Karir tree does not exist today. Today’s generation did not know that there was a curry tree because there is no sign of it left. So, Baba Arjan Singh Ji, a resident of this village, who is about 100 years old and he also comes to Gurdwara Sahib and pays a visit. They also tell us about history.
After this another old man, who cannot see with his eyes but has such knowledge of the eyes of the mind that he took Das’s hand and led him to the other side of Gurdwara Sahib. He said that there is a deodhi about 160 years ago which is an old deodhi. This Gurdwara Sahib is about 150 years old. At that time this route was different. If we talk about the time of Guru Teg Bahadur ji, then there were other ways. 150 years ago this road was different and now the road is different. Now the paths have changed, the place has changed, the places have changed, even the tree of Karir is gone now. The villagers rendered great service to Guru Sahib at this place. A mother from the same village filled the pitcher with milk and gave him lassi. Served Guru Sahib Ji a lot. Guru Teg Bahadur ji stayed here and connected the sangat with Naam Bani.
So, in the next series we will talk about the village where Guru Ji performs the duty of a Sikh who till the time of Guru Gobind Singh Ji perform that duty very honestly.
