In Safar-E-Patshahi IX Series No. 24 we mentioned a Sikh’s devotion to the Guru’s house
In this series we will hear why when Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji arrives at Amritsar why the masands locked up and why Guru Sahib is not allowed inside.
On 22 November 1664, Guru Tegh Bahadur ji left Bakala on a preaching tour. The village reaches Kaleke at a distance of 8 km. From village Kaleke comes village Tarsika. There is no Gurdwara in the village of Tarsika in memory of Guru Sahib. Principal Seva Singh Kaura writes that a school was earlier built here in the memory of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji – GTB Khalsa High School.
When Das reached this village. Das’s friend Bhai Buta Singh Ji lives here as a preacher. Talked to them and they also said that we don’t know anything about the fact that Guru Tegh Bahadur ji came out of our village and the name of that school was GTB Khalsa High School. The school is now named after an ordinary government school. The villagers need to find out.
So, from village Tarsika, Guru Ji passes through village Lehal and reaches Darbar Sahib, the city of Guru Ram Das Ji. So, on November 22, 1664, when Guru Tegh Bahadur ji reached Amritsar, Bhai Sarup Singh Koshish writes about that day:
Baba Bakala Gram Se Chal,
Sne sne maghar mas ki puranmashi ke dihun,
Guru Ram Das Ki Guru Chakk Me Aaye Pahunche “
November 22 is also written on ‘Guru Kiya Sakhiyan Page No. 68 Sakhi No. 21’. On behalf of Principal Jodh Singh, Dr. Trilochan Singh, Principal Fauja Singh and also on page no. Arriving on November 22, all historians agree. When Guru Tegh Bahadur ji reached Darbar Sahib in the evening with Makhan Shah Lubana, they locked the porch of Darbar Sahib and fled. Because here was the possession of HarJi who was claiming to be a Guru. He was also one of the false Gurus sitting on beds at Bakalal. when Guru Tegh Bahadur ji received the Gurship and Har ji returned to the Golden Temple. Now he was afraid that if Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji came to Darbar Sahib, I would lose possession. He locked the Darshani Deodhi and did not allow Guru Tegh Bahadur ji to enter. Guru Tegh Bahadur ji bathed in the sarovar and prayed from a distance and a platform was erected next to the Akal Takht. There was also a berry tree, under which the Guru ji sat down.
Who was this Har ji? Prithi Chand, the elder brother of Guru Arjan Dev ji ,continued to bow at the Guru’s house. He also tried to kill Guru Hargobind ji in his childhood. Guru Arjan Dev ji was also attacked but he could not become a Guru. He said what offspring Guru Arjan Dev ji had. After this only my son Miharban is to get the Guruship. Miharban started doing Kavishari and started composing false Bani. Miharban started dreaming that after Guru Arjan Dev Ji I would become Guru. His dreams shattered off when Guru Hargobind ji became enlightened and Guru Hargobind ji became Guru after Guru Arjan Dev ji. Even then it was in his heart that after these I would become a Guru. This was the son of Miharban – ‘Har Ji’, who was the grandson of Prithi Chand. This Har Ji himself became Guru and sat at Darbar Sahib.
When Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji moved from Kartarpur Sahib to Kiratpur Sahib, after that day ‘Har Ji’ had taken over Darbar Sahib and was claiming to be Guru by fabricating false hymns. When Guru Tegh Bahadur ji reached Darbar Sahib, he was afraid that I would lose control. He locked the Darshani Deodhi and fled to his village Hehar. Guru Tegh Bahadur ji sat on the platform and proceeded towards the village. Guru Sahib also ordered the sangat to move forward. Makhan Shah Lubana said that if you say so, I can teach them a lesson. Guru Sahib forbade Makhan Shah Lubana and said that he would pay the price for his deeds. Gurudwara Tharha Sahib stands next to the Akal Takht on the spot where Guru Tegh Bahadur ji sat. The origin of that berry is still present today where the Guru ji was sitting.
When you go to Darbar Sahib, please come here in prostration. After this we will hear in series 26 where Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji goes next. The entire history of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji is being shared on YouTube and Facebook on the ‘Khoj Vichar’ channel.
