Shaheedi Marg Yatra: A Historical Revisit to the Sacred Memory of the Guru
( Joint Endeavor by Chardikala Time TV and Team Khoj-Vichar)
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!
With the divine grace of Akal Purakh and after a solemn Ardas (prayer), the Shaheedi Marg Yatra dedicated to the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji was ceremoniously inaugurated at the office of Chardikala Time TV. This sacred pilgrimage commenced under the guidance of the eminent historian Dr. Bhagwan Singh ‘Khoji’ and with the gracious support of Chardikala Time TV.
The purpose of this historical journey is to connect the Sangat (devotees) with the sacred Guru Dham– the holy sites associated with Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji– and to revive the forgotten places sanctified by the Guru’s footsteps, from where the eternal message of humanity once illuminated the world.
Tracing the Footsteps of History
Dr. Bhagwan Singh ‘Khoji’, the guiding force behind Team Khoj-Vichar, stated that this yatra will commence from Sri Anandpur Sahib and conclude at Chandni Chowk, Delhi—the same sacred route on which Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji embarked on 11 July 1675, and attained martyrdom on 11 November 1675. “This yatra is not merely a remembrance of history; it is a spiritual re-enactment of those 124 days of divine endurance and supreme sacrifice made for the protection of human values.”
–Dr. Bhagwan Singh ‘Khoji’
He further shared that during the journey, Team Khoj-Vichar will identify and document forgotten historical shrines, presenting them before the Sangat through video documentaries and research-based articles. The objective is to rekindle awareness about Sikh heritage and to inspire collective responsibility towards the preservation, restoration, and reverence of these sacred sites.
Blessings and Inspiration
On this occasion, Padma Shri Dr. Jagjit Singh ‘Dardi’, Chairman of Chardikala Time TV, extended his heartfelt blessings: “The ongoing research efforts by Dr. Bhagwan Singh ‘Khoji’ will rekindle our historical consciousness. Connecting the Sangat to these sacred places is a living practice of the Guru’s teachings.”
Sardar Harjit Singh Ji, Director of Chardikala Time TV, appealed to the community, saying: “This journey is not only a retelling of history but a priceless legacy for future generations. The technical and broadcasting aspects of this project can be fulfilled only through the love and cooperation of the Sangat.”
The Commitment of Team Khoj-Vichar
On this memorable occasion Dr. Ranjeet Singh ‘Arsh’, Gurmeet Kaur Khalsa, Gurdas Singh, Vishal Singh, and several distinguished Sikh scholars were present.
In his address, Dr. Ranjeet Singh ‘Arsh’ shared: “This entire yatra and research documentation will be made available on our team’s blog arsh.blog in Hindi, English, and Gurmukhi. By the grace of Guru Sahib, our team has been blessed with this sacred service. We humbly seek the Sangat’s prayers that this noble task, which began under Guru’s guidance, may be completed smoothly and successfully.”
Guru Seva- A Call to Collective Faith
The complete Shaheedi Marg Yatra will be telecast on Chardikala Time TV and will also be featured on the Team Khoj-Vichar blog arsh.blog and across all major social media platforms. “May this sacred yatra, retracing the path from Sri Anandpur Sahib to Chandni Chowk, be completed with divine success. Let the world once again realize that the martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji was not merely for the defense of a single faith, but for the freedom and dignity of all humanity.”
